Pantheon, ticket and audio guide

The experience

From 1 July 2026 the official entry to the Pantheon costs 7 euros, with timed entry slots. This product gives you a ticket with a fixed time and, in addition, the official audio guide. From $8, it is the cheapest experience among those we compare, with over 31,000 reviews.

The audio guide is well done. According to the listing, it tells the story of the Pantheon through the voices of its key figures: Emperor Hadrian, who commissioned it as we see it today; Pope Boniface IV, who in 609 turned it into the basilica of Santa Maria ad Martyres and thus saved it from looting; Raphael, buried here; Queen Margherita, alongside Umberto I and Vittorio Emanuele II. The voices are by actors such as Sergio Rubini and Alessandro Haber, with music by Antonio Fresa and the Orchestra of Teatro La Fenice.

The rule to remember is the time: you enter only at the time indicated on the voucher, and those who arrive late are not guaranteed entry. According to the listing, you can change the time up to 24 hours before. The Pantheon is also a church: the listing does not allow shorts, short skirts, or sleeveless tops.

  • The 43.44-meter diameter dome and the oculus that acts as a sundial, according to the listing

  • Free cancellation up to 24 hours before

How it works

  2. At the scheduled timeEntry

Arrive a few minutes before the chosen time: you can only enter at the time on your voucher. According to reviews, the queue for those with an online ticket moves quickly.

  3. The porticoThe granite columns

You pass under the portico, among the columns of pink granite brought from Egypt. The audio guide starts with Hadrian.

  4. Under the domeThe oculus

The dome and the open oculus, which according to the listing lights the interior like a sundial. Every year at Pentecost, a shower of red rose petals falls from there.

  5. The tombsRaphael and the kings
